Lois Hirt Looks for the Smiles

August 14, 2010 by Joanna Slan

Lois Hirt writes a column called "Dental Scraps." She's interested in dental references we include in our mystery books. After she read Photo, Snap, Shot, she donated it to the National Museum of Dentistry in Baltimore!I was happy to meet Lois, and to share the fact that I've had GREAT experiences with my dentists. Someone once told me that the first sentence sells the current book but the last sentence sells the next one. I know that I simulaneously love and hate how my favorite television programs end with question mark. But even as I might curse the writers, I find myself eagerly tuning in each week for more.So what … [Read more...] about The Art of the Cliffhanger and a Contest!
